Level 1 Scent Detection

The level 1 introduction to scent work training class will demonstrate how the power of the marker and food reinforcement can be used to shape your dog’s searching behaviour. Only one dog trains at a time! Once the dog has learned how to search in the training centre sniffing for high value treats, the odor of three essential oils will be added as part of the progression.

Type of oil: 

I use SDDA scents which include wintergreen, pine and thyme. 

Requirements:

There are no pre-requisites for Level 1, any dog is welcome to join. I do recommend dogs be at least 4 months of age. 

Price: Classes are $200.00 for 4 sessions.
